The Oakland A's have announced the minor league coaching staffs for the 2012 season. Aaron Nieckula will once again manage the Bees.
This offseason, MiLB.com is honoring the players - regardless of age or prospect status - who had the best seasons in their organizations. For the A's, Josh Whitaker made the list at first base, while pitcher Jacob Brown was listed as the top left-hander. Blake Hassebrock, Zack Thornton, Pedro Vidal, and Jeff Urlaub were named honorable mention.
The best performances in all Minor League Baseball classifications are again being honored by the Topps Company of New York, N.Y., in conjunction with Minor League Baseball. Bees' first basemen Josh Whitaker was named to the Topps Class-A All-Star Team, it was recently announced.
