Three 2010 Bees - Wil Myers, John Lamb, and Bryan Paukovits - were among the Kansas City Royals minor league honorees, as announced on Wednesday. Myers and Paukovits are Burlington's Player and Pitcher of the Year, while Lamb was named Pitcher of the Year for the KC organization.
Whit Merrifield gave the Bees the lead with a solo home run on the third pitch of the game on Wednesday night. The Kernels capitalized on seven walks as part of an 11-run fifth inning in a 15-3 series-opening win over the Bees.
Keaton Hayenga tossed a season-high seven innings to pick up the win in the Bees' 9-5 victory at Pohlman Field on Tuesday. The win snapped a seven-game losing streak in Beloit and salvages the finale of the four-game set.
Jake Kuebler drew three of the Bees' season-high 12 walks in a 7-3 loss to Beloit on Monday night at Pohlman Field. The two teams put the wraps on their season series on Tuesday.
